Someday I hope to own one of their cars or build one that is highly influenced by them...

I coulda had a V8...

But after seeing this little 223 it still might be cool to run a "6"...

Yeah I'm lookin'...

Dream car of the week...

While looking a coverage of the Grand National Roadster Show I noticed this little black beauty owned by Dan Sobieski, formally of Boyd's Garage and American Hot Rod, and now owner of Poor Boys Hot Rods.





If this doesn't see some print soon I will be surprised...

Had a couple hours to kill...

So I decided to pull the head on the straight six and see if I could tell why it wasn't running right. In all actuality I was very surprised at how good a 56 year old motor looked...



Yeah it shows its age, but who knows how it was taken care of prior to me.



I was expecting a lot worse.

Salt Flats Speed Shop...

I finally got a chance to stop by Salt Flats Speed Shop today and meet Chris Davenport. There are a couple of neat projects in the shop including a Model A coupe that is a little on the "rat" side, a '33 Tudor sedan converted to a Vicky by Chris, and his personal project this '32 Bonneville inspired sedan:





I won't give away to much of the final plans, but be assured I will post again when he debuts the car.
